Prof. Dr. Jamalludin Ab Rahman is a Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and currently serves as the Campus Director of IIUM Kuantan Campus. He previously served as Dean of the Kulliyyah of Medicine, IIUM, and has held various leadership roles in medical education and public health at institutional and national levels.

Trained in medicine, epidemiology and biostatistics, his academic interests include disease modelling, causal inference, artificial intelligence in epidemiology and disease intelligence, tobacco and vaping, and health policy and governance. He is actively involved in postgraduate teaching, research supervision and the development of public health and medical training.

Beyond academia and administration, he is an endurance cyclist, outdoor enthusiast, photographer and occasional writer. This blog brings together his reflections on public health, academia, leadership, cycling, travel, technology and the lessons gathered along the way.
